Here's how to play Just Like Heaven by The Cure!

This song uses four simple chords throughout almost the entire song. The Bm chord can be tricky, but in the video I show the MUCH easier Bm7, which is a open chord, so this song CAN be played without barre chords!

I also show the signature lead part of this song, which uses the A major scale, which I've written out below. This is a great opportunity to use a looper pedal to play the lead part over the chords - click the button below if you want more help doing that!

Lead part - A major scale

The lead part uses the A major scale mostly played on 1 string. See all notes used below.

Personally, I find it much more useful to think of scale as intervals. With intervals, we can recognise the sound of the notes more easily and transpose different scales and shapes to other keys more easily.
