Song 6 - God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

In this lesson we look at how to play God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen on acoustic guitar. This is the first song in this series that is in a minor key; E minor.

E minor is the relative minor key of G major, which means it has all the same chords as the key of G. It also means that the E natural minor scale is the exact same notes as the G major scale - so you get to know two scales for the time of learning one!
