Scales Consolidation

Course: Beginner Acoustic Consolidation

In this video

This is the Scales Consolidation lesson. This lesson is from the Andy Guitar Beginner Guitar Course.

Now, let's look at consolidating Scales. This is never an easy task, there are many scales beyond the ones we've learnt so far.

However, the relatively easy Major Scale as a series of just 7 notes is crucial - Learn this through and through, fully understand it, back to front and you will thank yourself in future!

Major scale

  • C major scale - all open position (Level 7)

  • Useful to know: A natural minor scale (C major) - all open position (relative major/ minor scale/ key covered at level 8)

  • G major scale - at least 1 octave and on 1 string (Level 5)

Major Pentatonic

Minor pentatonic (blues and rock scales)

Next Up: Jam Track Consolidation

Well done! Let's jump into the next lesson of the course.
