Rock Rhythm 08 - Chromatic Run

Course: Rock Rhythm Course

In this video

Learn about chromatic scales. Chromatic means to move up or down one semi-tone at a time to each adjacent note. This is known as the Chromatic Scale. Party of my Rock Rhythm Course.

Chromatic means to move up or down one semi-tone at a time to each adjacent note. This is known as the Chromatic Scale. Unlike any other scale, it does not have a root note. It can therefore begin and end on any note and so long as we move to the next adjacent fret without missing any notes out, it is the Chromatic Scale.

However, on guitar, ascending notes can snake around the fretboard when we change strings. Therefore, this is a great exercise for technique but also for note knowledge.

Put simply; Ever wanted to play faster rock riff-age? This exercise is for you!
