Here's how to play Kiss by Prince, which can be played on acoustic or electric guitar.
The chords are based on a 12 bar blues in the key of A, a chord progression used in thousands of songs, which you can learn more about here
We also look at something called chord substitutions, which is a posh term for changing more basic chords for more interesting ones to make the whole thing sound cooler.
The intro chord is an E9 chord, which on the original recording uses a wha pedal going from heel to toe
