Oasis Chords With 3/4 Fingers Down

Course: Theory, Catchup and Half Way Consolidation

In this video

We're focussing now on chords that use the 3rd and little finger in the shapes of each chord. Therefore we can change chord really smoothly with those held down notes acting as an anchor or just a constant link between all the shapes.

They are commonly known as Oasis-style chords:

  • Big G

  • Cadd9

  • Dsus4

  • Em7

  • A7sus4

They sound fantastic with the same notes ringing out consistently on string 1 and 2 between each chord. As said before they are somewhat easier to fret so don't let these crazy chord names put you off!

Next Up: Easy G Major Scale

Well done! Let's jump into the next lesson of the course.
