In this video, we're going to take one awesome riff and learn it in all 5 positions of the E minor pentatonic scale!

E minor pentatonic - 4 notes in all 5 shapes

Navy = shape 1, Light blue = shape 2, Green = shape 3, Orange = shape 4, Red = shape 5

The riff we learn in the video above goes from the intervals 5 > b7 > 1 > b3 for each position. This enables us to play this same riff with the same notes but move through each pentatonic shape on the freeboard, which is a fantastic skill that all advancing players should be aiming for.
