In this lesson we're looking at the Texas-style 12 bar Blues. We'll be utilising the 9th chord we learned in the previous lessons, and we're essentially playing rhythm and lead guitar at the same time with this one. This style is as much about the way you're playing notes as it is about the notes you're playing.

Lesson aims

  1. Practice muting all 6 strings on the upstroke
  2. Experiment with hitting the open A or E string on the upstroke while muting the other strings
  3. Pay attention to the timing in the last bar of this riff
