In this lesson we're looking at ways to take the things we've learned in this module and turn them into something musical. The best way to do this is to get a grasp of where the octaves are. Identifying the octaves enables us to move through the different shapes by giving us familiar points across the neck.

  • Find the octaves of A starting from the first A on string 6 - you can use a power chord shape to find these
  • The notes around each octave are the same relative to the octave's position
