Jam Track Walkthrough
Section A (Bars 1-8) There are three barre chords in this song; G major, A major and B major. In Section A, each chord is played for 2 bars each.
Section B (Bars 7-18) Here we play each chord used in the song in turn for one bar with the strumming pattern used above. By now your hand will likely be tiring. Remember to keep good form and stop if you have to. There is no point in practicing with bad form as you’re just solidifying bad motions.
It is worth noting that barre chords are much easier to play on electric guitar compared to acoustic guitar. This is due to how the instruments are setup. It is very worthwhile learning barre chords on electric then transferring the skills onto acoustic later if this is at all possible. If it isn’t, just try and get a bit further along this track and other barre chord songs each practice session.
