Here's a recap over everything you should take away from this module on intervals and ear training.

Full list of intervals covered in this module

This covers most of the intervals up to the octave. Remember, the goal here is to be able to identify these intervals relative to the 'one chord', i.e. the key of the piece of music. This is why we are learning notes relative to the first interval - and it is a skill as attainable as any guitar chord.

Remember - Relative Pitch unlocks virtually all of the benefits of Perfect pitch, but is more easily achieved by anyone. Improving your relative pitch is the goal of this module and should be your goal. Perfect pitch is not achievable for most people, and setting realistic goals is a huge part of making consistent progress on guitar.

Want to learn solos faster, improvise lead guitar parts freely and really make your guitar talk and sing?

Improving your relative pitch is as important as learning scales and techniques!

Look out for the follow on intervals module coming up in Lead Guitar 2, which is the direct follow on to this course!

Want more of a challenge right now?

Feeling confident with these intervals and want to continue your learning right now?

Try looking at the intervals used in a riff, song or solo you already know, then transpose it to another key!

Pro guitarists learn everything they learn in every key all over the neck - that is one of the extra steps taken by the best in the business and it's something you should try as soon as you're ready!
