Build on what we learned yesterday, add a simple riff over the same jam track. The aim of this session is to learn how chords and scales work together.

We build on what we learned yesterday and add a simple riff over the same jam track as yesterday. The aim of this session is to see how chords and scales work together; The G major scale gives us the root notes of all the common chords in the key of G major!

However, for riffs and solos on guitar, the G major pentatonic is a more common scale used in songs. Song examples of this include the classic acoustic song Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd.
