Funk inspired guitar playing is heard in all the core western music genres. From Nile Rodgers style rhythm playing in pop songs such as Uptown Funk, to funky rock riffs to funky lead lines.

- Clean guitar sound and chickas (chord hand string muting)
- Blues inspired lead lines, very sparse to keep the emphasis on the beat, rhythm and bass line
