Welcome to week 2 of the Technique weekly challenge!

The concept we look at in this video is designed to help your chord playing hand make the needed quick and accurate chord changes. This will help you nail that song you might be struggling with right now and in the long run, actually learn more songs! 

Exercise 1 - C to D Chord Change (Beginner)   

  • Play chord and memorise the shape (visually and muscle memory)

  • Lift chord 1cm, but keep the shape!

  • Make the shape of the next chord

  • Place fingers down and play that chord

Exercise 2 - C to G or C to Fm Chord Changes (Intermediate)    

Same process, just more difficult changes;

  • C to G, focus on keeping the chord grip the same on the back of the guitar neck when changing chords

  • C to Fm chord change, the chords need to ring out as best as possible. Take your time with this one!
