Billy Gibbons rhythm study

Course: Texas Blues Bootcamp with Mike Bradley

In this video

Study the playing style of Billy Gibbons, the guitarist and vocalist of ZZ Top. We'll look at a slow, swampy 12 bar blues in A major.

Billy Gibbons is of course the guitarist and primary lead vocalist of American rock band ZZ Top. However, his style and influence goes way beyond the band. His cool laid back attitude to life and dress style (he is rarely seen not wearing sunglasses) also flows through his rhythm and lead playing.

In this lesson, we'll take a look at a slow, swampy 12 bar blues in A major, inspired by La Grange and other ZZ Top classics. See the lead study of Billy Gibbons in the next video!
