• Oasis The Masterplan - Great new song with interesting chord shapes that utilise a descending root note

• Hotel California - Start to look at the chords to this song, capo 2nd fret initially or 7th fret like the original if you're up for it

Key of E songs

• The Pixies - Where Is My Mind?

• The Gaslight Anthem - “45”

• Weezer - Say It Ain’t So (is in E, but I recommend leaving it till later)

Learn some power chord riffs

• Benefit from easier transition from rhythm to lead guitar

• Revisit classic riffs, such as Nirvana Unplugged - they showed how it's done for us acoustic players!
