Lesson 11 looks at Vocal Registers - what they are, what they're called and how we perceive them. Note: this is not the same as voice parts (e.g. tenor, contralto, soprano, etc.). We'll try some exercises to find your chest voice and your top voice (head voice for women, falsetto for men).
Lesson aims
Learn about the different Vocal Registers - consider which you are able to use (this is different for guys and girls)
Use the exercise to get familiar with your chest voice and your upper voice (falsetto for men, head voice for women)
Get a feel for the different Registers - each one feels different
Next Up: Releasing Tension
Well done! Let's jump into the next lesson of the course.
