Fingerstyle Song 06 - Twinkle Twinkle (Key of G)

Course: Fingerstyle Course

In this video

We learn a fingerstyle version of ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ (in the key of G) on guitar!

Twinkle Twinkle TAB (Key of G)

Why are we learning the same song again?

As a budding intermediate guitarist, it is important to be able to transpose songs into different keys. To work towards this, we need to first understand the chords and melodies than can occur in the key of C and the key of G. This is because the key of C has no sharps or flats and G major has one sharp. Therefore, all the chords and notes are mainly the naturals (C, D, E etc) so the concept is more simple to grasp.

Learn more about keys and which chords go together in my Intermediate Guitar Course - which is a great companion to this course!
