Beginner Acoustic Jam Track 9 - G, D, Am & C

Course: Theory, Catchup and Half Way Consolidation

In this video

Beginner Visual Acoustic Jam Track 9 - G, D, Am & C. This lesson is from the Andy Guitar Beginner Guitar Course.

Welcome to this Jam Track Lesson where we are playing a chord progression of G, D, Am & C using the 16th strumming pattern: D D D DU

We make this all sound very professional by strumming the thicker strings louder on the accented beats 2 and 4 but also noticeably quieter on every strum in-between by hitting those thinner strings.

Strumming Tips

Struggling with the rhythm?

  • Go back to 8ths all downs so you can still jam along!

  • Concentrate on the accent of beats 2 and 4

  • Try add in 1 up-strum on the 8ths all down pattern around the '4 - & - a -' this will be the count of 1 - & - 2 - & - 3 - & - 4 - & - a -
