Here's how to play the chords, intro riff and solo to the classic acoustic guitar song 'Wish You Were Here' by Pink Floyd.

The famous acoustic intro uses the G major pentatonic scale. If you don't know this already, then you should watch my lesson on the G major pentatonic scale here.

The first video below shows how to play this intro riff and then how to strum the chords to the whole song. Keep in mind that chords and strumming are much simpler to learn and play than the intro riff.

See below my tutorial for how to play to 1st solo from this classic song.

This is one of the most famous and highly recommend acoustic guitar solos to learn. This solo moves between position 1 and position 2 of the G major pentatonic scale and features some essential acoustic lead guitar techniques such as string bending, sliding and phrasing.
