Intro chords
Each chord is appreciated (played with an arpeggio). John Frusciante plays this with finger picking, but most people learning this song will have more success with a pick, so learn it with a pick - then try the fingerstyle version (as shown in my tutorial).
Verses
Verse 1simply strums each chord once. Verse 2 and beyond plays each chord with the signature Frusciante riff, shown in the tutorial video above.
