Beginner Level 6 - Jam Track 1

Course: Common Strumming & Theory Introduction

In this video

Here's the performance video and downloadable audio jam track for Beginner Level 6 - Jam track 1.

Aims

  • Learn the '4 chord song' sequence (I - V - vi - IV)

  • Use the anchor finger between the G and D major chord

  • Transition smoothly between chords strumming on the beat

In this track, we're playing twice round this sequence of chords with single strums and then down strumming on each beat of the bar for the rest of the track.

Anchor Finger

Focus on placing the fingers on the fretboard as accurately as possible and then using the anchor finger between chords.

Keep the 3rd finger down for the G and D major chords

You can also keep the second finger down on the fretboard for the change between E minor going to the C.
